Update: New Techal Content Coming Soon!

Hey there, tech enthusiasts and engineers! It’s time for an exciting update from Techal. We’ve hit a milestone of 20K subscribers, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you! Thank you for your continued support and engagement in our community.

Now, let’s dive into what’s coming up on Techal. We’ve wrapped up our beginner series, and it’s time to level up to the intermediate stage. In this new series, we’ll be delving into pointers, memory, and strings in C++. We’ll start at a low level, building a concrete understanding of how things work, and then move on to high-level concepts and modern C++ tools that will make your life easier.

But that’s not all we have in store for you! We’ll also be exploring topics like loading image files, sprite rendering techniques, and using vectors in C++. Our goal is to equip you with the knowledge and skills to create simple games and delve into advanced game programming techniques.

In addition to game development content, we’re cooking up some CPU design videos. It’s been a while since we touched on this topic, but we’re back with more digital circuits and CPU design. Get ready for branching instructions and even writing our first program in assembly.

Of course, we haven’t forgotten about our popular SFML video. We’re considering making more videos on SFML basics, rendering, and even using SFML with Box2D to create cool games. Multi-threaded resource loading is also on the horizon, so you can load textures faster and keep your game running smoothly.

We’re also working on the much-requested Mark 2 version of Tutorial 4, addressing any confusion you may have encountered. Plus, we’ll be making a video on setting up Visual Studio 2017. If you’ve already migrated and encountered any issues, please let us know so we can help others overcome them too.

Now, let’s move on to the exciting Show and Tell segment. Our talented community members have been hard at work creating amazing projects using the Techal framework.

First up, we have Space Balls, a game that showcases impressive level design and a boss battle. With Space Balls, you can visualize recursion in Minesweeper, making it easier to understand.

Soldier game, created by Dawn from the Forum, is a twenty-stick shooter with health meters and exciting gameplay. Zed throw took Farano and elevated it to new heights with improved graphics, background images, and animated enemies.

Bite Raider also made an incredible Arkanoid game, taking inspiration from the old tutorial series. The game features multiple levels and exceptional graphics. And let’s not forget about Satos, who created a Mandelbrot imaging tool using the Techal framework. Explore the Mandelbrot set and create stunning images with this tool.

If you want your game or project featured in our update videos, be sure to post it on the Forum, as it’s easier for us to track and showcase your creations.

That wraps up today’s update. We hope you’re as excited as we are about the upcoming content. Stay tuned for more informative and engaging videos that will empower you with the knowledge and skills to conquer the ever-evolving world of technology.
